Hidden Depths

Change is ubiquitous – yet the more things change, the more they stay the same. As George Eliot (1819-1880) said “the golden moments in the stream of life rush past us and we see nothing but sand; the angels come to visit us, and we only know them when they are gone”.

Many people get caught up in the stream of life yet fail to see the inequities in our ‘progressive’ society – this project invites the audience into a world of symbolism and imagery which aims to depict the circle of life (past, present and future) and the constants in that circle – poverty, inequality and injustice.

Above all, the artist wishes to create something innately unique which encourages – in the busy world in which we live – a moment for deep reflection.
